The eighth edition of the Calgary European Film Festival starts on Saturday, November 2 until Sunday November 10; for nine days of bold European cinema at the Globe Cinema with a record 22 films, each from a different European country, screened in their original languages with English subtitles.

Last year 20 countries partnered with us to host the biggest festival in our history, and this year we keep growing by welcoming two new countries that will join our #CEFF family (Hint: think Baltic + Caspian seas).

Want to know more? Stay tuned! We will unveil more details in the upcoming weeks, as countries are currently selecting their entries, all vying to earn the audience’s choice and reach this year’s top 3. In our last edition, Poland, Romania and Switzerland were the deserving favourites.
